When applying for the leave application, I see the option “Covering Employees.” What does it mean?

The covering employees will get a notification about your leave application. For example, you must select the covering employees you want to inform about the leave you’re applying for. If an employee is absent on a specific date, the covering employee will receive a notification about your leave. The covering employees will just receive the notification, but they cannot take any approval for the same.
